White To Remain Secretary Of State For Now

(Indianapolis, Ind.) - Charlie White is still Indiana's Secretary of State after Marion Circuit Court Judge Louis Rosenberg granted a stay in the case as White is appealing an earlier ruling forcing him out.

The official is facing voter fraud charges for allegedly using his ex-wife's address to vote while living somewhere else during the 2010 election.

In granting the stay, Judge Rosenberg also denied a request from Indiana Democrats to immediately install Vop Osili as Secretary of State if White leaves office.

White will face a criminal trial on seven felony charges later this month.
