EC's Trabel Named McDonald's All-American Game Nominee

(St. Leon, Ind.) – East Central High School senior Josie Trabel has been named a nominee for the 2023 McDonald’s All-American Game.

The McDonald’s All-American Game will be played this March at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.

Over 700 boys and girls basketball players from across the country have been selected as nominees. Of the nominees, 48 players will be named to the final rosters later this month.

For Trabel, she is one of nine girls basketball players from Indiana to be named a nominee. The others are:

  • Bailey Kelham, Garrett High School
  • Layden McKenna, Northwestern High School
  • Ashlynn Shade, La Lumiere School
  • Nevaeh Foster, Marian High School
  • Ashlynn Brooke, Pioneer High School
  • Rashunda Jones, Washington High School
  • Amiyah Reynolds, Washington High School
  • Laila Hull, Zionsville High School

Trabel is averaging a team-high 20.8 points and 10.1 rebounds per game.

She is a three-time all-state honoree and East Central’s all-time leading scorer with 1,789 points and counting.

Trabel is committed to play at Wofford College.
