Senator Joe Donnelly Still Unsure About Trump's Supreme Court Nominee

Indiana's Democratic U.S. Senator recently met with Judge Brett Kavanaugh, but stopped short of supporting him.

(Indianapolis, Ind.) – Indiana’s Democratic U.S. Senator say he hasn’t made up his mind yet about President Trump’s latest Supreme Court nominee.

Senator Joe Donnelly yesterday met with Judge Brett Kavanaugh but didn’t say if he would support Kavanaugh’s nomination.

Donnelly’s office says the two talked about Kavanaugh’s work for President Bush and the role of the Supreme Court. Donnelly is one of three Democrats to meet with the judge.

Indiana Republican Party Chairman Kyle Hupfer has long criticized Donnelly for taking too long to sit down with Kavanaugh.

“Judge Kavanaugh is a highly-qualified jurist and Democrat Donnelly should dispense with the waffling and the uncertainty and make it clear that he will support this nomination without further delay. But until then, we have little to look forward to other than continued Democrat obstruction from Chuck Schumer, Bernie Sanders and their pawn, Democrat Joe Donnelly.”
