Power Restored After Electric Outage Impacts LMU Customers

Crews worked quickly on Wednesday evening to get power back to customers.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – Some Lawrenceburg Municipal Utilities (LMU) customers were without power for about an hour on Wednesday evening.

An outage occurred at the Walker substation around 5:20 p.m., which initially impacted customers in the areas of Front and High streets.

The outage stretched to customers on West High, Center Street, Mary Street, Vine Street, Main Street, Park Street, Charlotte Street, Maple Street, Walnut Street, Fourth Street, William Street and U.S. 50.

Crews restored power by 6:30 p.m.

“Thank you for your patience while our crews worked quickly to assess and solve the electric issue in a safe manner,” reads a statement from the City of Lawrenceburg.
