UPDATE: Longtime Athletic Director, Scorekeeper Passes Away

(Aurora, Ind.) – Bob Strautman was a South Dearborn Knight through and through.

The longtime scorekeeper and former St. Mary’s athletic director passed away on Wednesday.

Strautman has been the official scorekeeper for South Dearborn athletics for over 20 years.

In total, he served the youth of Dearborn County for over 50 years, including a 46-year stint as the Athletic Director for St. Mary’s – where he was instrumental in starting all the sports programs at the school.

Family and friends will be received Friday, May 6 from 9:00 AM to noon at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 203 Fourth Street in Aurora.

Services will immediately follow at the church.

Contributions may be made to the South Dearborn High School Athletic Department.
