The incident took place early Saturday morning.
(Laurel, Ind.) – Franklin County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a business in Laurel early Saturday morning to investigate a suspected drive-by shooting.
The incident was reported just before 1:00 a.m. after a driver allegedly fired multiple bullets into a parked truck near the Long Branch Tavern.
The driver was identified as Jeremy D. Wilson, 49, of Laurel.
He was located at his home following the incident, where he allegedly exited his home with an AR-15 style rifle.
According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department, Wilson refused to comply with Sheriff’s deputies, which prompted a short stand-off.
He was eventually taken into custody without further incident.
Wilson is charged with a felony related to the shooting and was lodged in the Franklin County Jail.
