Franklin Co. Commissioners Propose Pay Raises For County Employees

County council is expected to vote on the proposal next week.

(Franklin County, Ind.) – Pay raises could be in order for county employees in Franklin County.

At a recent meeting, county commissioners proposed a five percent raise for all county employees in 2019, reports The Franklin County Observer Newsletter.

However, commissioners say 18 Highway Department would only receive hourly wages.

The raises would be for 75 cents or $1 per hour depending on the individual's commercial driver’s license. An additional 25 cents would be tacked on for anyone with a hazmat certification.

County council is expected to vote on the pay raises at their annual budget meeting on August 20.
