Explore 1800s Culture in Lawrenceburg During Pioneer Day

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – An upcoming event will give attendees the opportunity to explore early 1800s history and culture.

The Dearborn County Historical Society will host Pioneer Day on Saturday, September 23 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Angevine Cabin, 461 West High Street in Lawrenceburg.

The free event will feature pioneer re-enactors including Abraham and Mary Lincoln, how to build a tepee demonstration, pioneer games, crafts, and a real horse-drawn huckster wagon.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to tour the circa-1820 Angevine Cabin and Vance-Tousey House, a federal-style historic home built around 1818.
