(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - A Cincinnati man is accused of taking money to complete a roofing project he never started.
John Luallen, 32, was arrested and charged with Theft (Value $750 - $50,000, Level 6 felony) on Friday, August 3.
According to a probable cause affidavit, Luallen was hired to replace a roof at a home on Sunny Ridge Drive in Lawrenceburg in December of 2017. Luallen was allegedly given a check in the amount of $2,200 to purchase materials needed for the project.
As of January 24, Luallen had not completed the work or returned the money he had taken from the homeowners, prompting a fraud complaint to local authorities.
He is currently being held in the Dearborn County Law Enforcement Center.
