Switzerland County, Rising Sun Basketball Stars Earn ORVC Weekly Honors

Cam Craig got his sophomore campaign off to a great start, while Alyssa Simpson continued to control the paint.

(Vevay, Ind.) - A career-high amount of points and a near double-double earned weekly honors for student-athletes from Switzerland County and Rising Sun high schools. 

The ORVC Report for November 21-26 was released on Tuesday.

Cam Craig lit up the scoreboard to earn the first ORVC Boys Basketball Player of the Week award of the 2022-23 season. The Switzerland County sophomore scored a career-high 46 points in an 89-70 win at Austin. Craig also pulled down 11 rebound in the win.

Rising Sun’s Alyssa Simpson is the ORVC Girls Basketball Player of the Week. The Lady Shiners star totaled nine points, 16 rebounds, six deflections and two steals in a 47-43 win over Hauser.

Simpson is currently averaging a double-double at 10.6 points and a conference-best 10.6 rebounds per game.
