South Ripley Student-Athletes Highlight ORVC Report

The girls cross country team won their second consecutive ORVC title last week.

(Versailles, Ind.) – South Ripley student-athletes highlight the latest Ohio River Valley Conference report for the week of September 30-October 5.

The ORVC Volleyball Player of the Week is Lindsey Meyer. The Lady Raiders star totaled 51 kills, 42 digs, 5 blocks and 2 aces in four matches. She also completed 93 percent of her serves and 90 percent of her passes.

South Ripley’s Kylie Reuter and Rising Sun’s Sydney Pitts are the ORVC Girls Soccer Players of the Week.

Reuter had a goal and an assist in two matches, while Pitts found the back of the net twice last week.

The ORVC Boys Soccer Player of the Week is Jac-Cen-Del’s Jacob Jines. The Eagles star had five goals and an assist in two matches last week.

South Ripley’s girls cross country team captured their second consecutive ORVC title, with strong performances from Lanie Nicholson, Emily Campbell, and Deborah Murphy.

Southwester is the 2019 ORVC Boys Cross Country champions.
