IFCA Selects 33 Local Athletes For Academic All-State Team

INDIANAPOLIS – The 2024 high school football season may be long gone, but many athletes across the state have been recognized for a job well done in the classroom.  

The Indiana Football Coaches Association announced the 2024 Academic All-State selections, which included 33 local student-athletes.  

To be considered for the honor, a minimum GPA of 3.40 on a 4.0 scale and a minimum SAT of 1660 or minimum ACT of 24 is required. 

Lawrenceburg led the way with eight Academic All-State selections. See a full list of local honorees below.  

  • Batesville (5) – Max Amberger, Will Jaisle, Gage Pohlman, Andrew Jones, John Dirkhising,  
  • East Central (7) – Carson Pieczonka, Matthew Roy, Cole Sebastian, Alex Kuhn, Braden Becknell, DenZell Wallace, Wyatt Smith 
  • Franklin County (4) – Quinn Gillman, Braylon Kruthaupt, Jack Seals, Luke Halpin 
  • Lawrenceburg (8) – D'Kari Mucker, Landon Cornett, Ryan Hinthorne, Ryan Richard, Noah Knigga, Bryce Hedrick, Noah Redar, Conner Lange
  • Milan (3) – Maison Taylor, Landon Stanley, Carson Betz 
  • South Dearborn (6) - Taytum Barker, Mahlon Bressert, Conor Huff, Jacob Purcell, Caden Thompson, Jeff Wickersham
