(St. Leon, Ind.) - Carson Pieczonka is staying close to home to play college football.

The East Central High School senior this week signed his letter of intent to continue his academic and athletic career at Thomas More University.

He is the latest Trojans' star to continue to pipeline from St. Leon to Crestview Hills.

As a senior, Pieczonka was named to the IFCA Senior All-State Team in Class 5A. He was also an All-EIAC selection, and most recently named an IFCA Region 10 All-Star - which makes him eligible to be selected for the annual IFCA North/South All-Star Game this summer.

Other career accolades include being named the 2024 EIAC Defensive MVP, earning recognition as an Indiana Football Digest Prime 25 Player, winning two state championships, and being selected a captain as a senior.

Pieczonka has experience playing as a defensive back and as a linebacker. He made 158 career tackles with 10 interceptions at East Central.

In the classroom, Pieczonka holds a 3.694 GPA and is a member of the National Honor Society.

Pieczonka will be joined in Thomas More's 2025 recruiting class by South Dearborn defensive end Caden Thompson.
