(Versailles, Ind.) – Whether you are a skilled painter or have trouble coloring inside the lines, all are welcomed to lend a hand in creating a new mural recognizing the Town of Versailles’ bicentennial.

The Main Street Versailles organization is leading the effort to put up a new mural at the Versailles Lions Club.

The first painting sessions were held this past Wednesday and Saturday, August 1 and 4. You can still do some mural painting at the Tyson Activity Center on Wednesday, August 8 from 3:30 until 6:00 p.m. and Saturday, August 11 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

The Ripley County Community Foundation has awarded Versailles Main Street a $5,000 grant to fund the mural.

Once completed, the mural will be dedicated at the Versailles Pumpkin Show. Eventually, it will be hung at the Lions’ clubhouse.
