(Aurora, Ind.) - Two people were arrested after a police pursuit in Aurora.

An Indiana Conservation Officer was traveling eastbound on U.S. 50 near the Aurora Fire Department on November 10, when the officer observed a motorcycle carrying two people.

The driver, identified as James G. Zervos, allegedly discarded what appeared to be a Mountain Dew bottle into the roadway, prompting the officer to engage the vehicle.

Zervos slowed and pulled over near Dutch Hollow Road, but as the officer approached Zervos sped away on U.S. 50. Zervos traveled a short distance before crossing the median and continued to travel westbound towards Dillsboro.

He continued onto Lower Dillsboro Road, where he eventually crashed the motorcycle.

Zervos fled the scene up and over a hilltop. Dearborn County Sheriff's deputies, along with a police K-9 tracked and located Zervos. He was taken into custody and charged with Fleeing Law Enforcement (Class A misdemeanor), Flee Law Enforcement in a Vehicle (Level 6 Felony), Operating with a Suspended License (Class A misdemeanor) and Failure to Stop after an Accident Involving Injury (Class B misdemeanor).

The passenger on Zervos' motorcycle, Jerrica M. Watson was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

While being treated, she was allegedly found in possession of heroin and a bag that contained 12 syringes.

Watson is charged with Possession of a Narcotic (Level 6 Felony) and Possession of a Syringe.
