Street Closures Announced for Lauren's Burg Hill 5K, Tastes of Summer

Both events take place in Lawrenceburg this Saturday.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – It will be a busy Saturday in downtown Lawrenceburg.

The 9th Lauren’s Burg Hill 5K and 5-mile runs will start at 7:22 a.m. During the races, traffic controls and public safety teams will be in place.

Controlled Intersections (6:45 to 10:30 a.m.)

  • U.S. 50 and Walnut Street
  • U.S. 50 and Front Street
  • Bielby Road between U.S. 50 and Doughty Road
  • Doughty Road betweeen Bielby Road and U.S. 50
  • U.S. 50 and Tigers Blvd. 
  • U.S. 50 and Arch Street

Street Closures for Race Routes (6:45 to 8:30 a.m.)

  • Walnut Street at Center Street to U.S. 50
  • Tate Street between Walnut Street to Front Street
  • Todd Lane between W. Tate Street through Todd Creech Park to Walnut Street

U.S. 50 will remain open during the races, while Old Bielby Road and State Road 48 will be reduced to one lane. The race routes are posted below. 

Following the races, the Tastes of Summer will take place at Civic Park, featuring food trucks, beer garden and live music. 

The following roads and parking lots will be closed Friday, June 17 starting at 4:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 18: 

  • E. High Street between Walnut Street to the alley between Short Street and Elm Street
  • Short Street between New Street to Proof 124 
  • Mural Parking Lot on High Street next to Strong's Pizza
  • Lawrenceburg Civic Park closed to thru traffic

Parking will be available at the Ivy Tech parking garage.
