Tracy Bear has spent the last 16 years in various roles of increasing responsibility at SCC.

(Versailles, Ind.) - The Board of Trustees of the Southeastern Career Center (SCC) is pleased to announce Tracy Bear as their next superintendent.

Bear, a native of Bright, Indiana, has spent the past 16 years in various roles of increasing responsibility at SCC, most recently as interim director.

“The SCC Board of Directors is excited about Mrs. Tracy Bear being the next Director of the Southeastern Career Center,” said board vice president and Lawrenceburg Community School Corporation Superintendent Karl Galey. “Her passion for seeing students and staff excel will move the SCC in a positive direction for the future. Her collaborative leadership style will help build relationships within the Career Center and through the community and business partners.”

Bear moved to Harrison, Ohio at age 10, graduated from Harrison High School and received an Associates in Business Software from Southern Ohio College in Cincinnati.

She received her Bachelors in Elementary Education and Interdisciplinary Studies from Regent University, VA Beach, VA, and completed both a Master’s in Education and Principal Licensure Program from Indiana Wesleyan University.

Bear is licensed in K-12 Building Level Administration and is in her final stage of an Educational Specialist Degree, also through Indiana Wesleyan University. She has served SCC as a business teacher, counselor/Dean of Students and most recently as principal while serving as interim director/superintendent.

Bear is excited to continue her service to SCC as the Director/Superintendent and is proud of the programs it offers. She said, “The Career and Technical Education Next Level Pathways we offer are state of the art. As the students identify their career pathway, my goal is for each child to gain the skill set, knowledge, competencies, and employability skills to enter one of the 3 E’s, Employment, Enlist or Education.”

Bear is the mother of three active children that attend the Sunman Dearborn Community School Corporation – Taylor, 14; Hayden, 12; and Everett, 9. She enjoys attending their sports events, family vacations and camping. She also breeds English Mastiffs with her pair Frank and Bella.

The SCC serves eleven partnering schools in six counties, along with their industrial partners. SCC offers 15 programs including:

  • Auto Service, Building Trades, Computer Repair and Networking, Cosmetology, Criminal Justice, Culinary Arts, Dental Careers, Diesel, Digital Media, Emergency Services, Electrical, Health Careers, Heavy Equipment, Precision Machine, and Welding.
