(Ripley County, Ind.) – An annual tradition will continue this month in Ripley County.

A wreath-laying ceremony will be held at the Ripley County Courthouse, near the Veterans Memorial in Versailles, at noon on Saturday, December 16.

Wreaths will also be placed on over 4,300 veterans’ graves in the 56 cemeteries throughout Ripley County by several volunteer groups.

Ripley County is joining more than 3,700 other locations across the country for National Wreaths Across America Day.

The Ripley County Community Foundation would like to invite veterans, active service members, and families to unite to remember those who served, honor our current service men and women, and teach children the value of freedom.

All are encouraged to visit your local cemetery and pay your respects for their sacrifice. The RCCF encourages community members to share photos or videos by emailing office@rccfonline.org or by using #wreathsacrossripleycounty #WARC on social media.
