Report: CVG Lowest Fare Airport In The Region

Prices at CVG continue to descend.

(Hebron, Ky.) – Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky International Airport has once again been named the lowest fare airport in the region.

The U.S. Department of Transportation has released its average airfare ranking report for the first quarter of 2018.

CVG beat out Indianapolis, Columbus, Louisville, Dayton and Lexington for the lowest airfare in the region.

The average fare at CVG in the first half of 2018 was $328, which ranked as the 73rd most expensive airport in the country. Indianapolis was the next cheapest for average airfare at $340 per ticket. Lexington ranked as the most expensive airport in the region and 12th nationally with average airfare costing around $431.

Average fare at CVG decreased 16 percent from the first quarter of 2017 when the average ticket cost was around $391.

Aside from enjoying reasonable pricing, CVG passengers are also enjoying multiple new flights this year to places such as San Antonio, San Jose, Mexico, the Grand Bahama Island and Iceland.
