PHOTOS: Creativity, Ingenuity Shown at Annual Rube Goldberg Machine Contest

(Batesville, Ind.) – Genesis: Pathways to Success and the Batesville Community School Corporation hosted the 13th annual Regional Rube Goldberg Machine Contest on Saturday.

This year, teams were challenged to “Put Toothpaste on a Toothbrush” with a minimum of 15 steps and a maximum of 75 steps in Division I, and a minimum of 20 steps with no maximum number of steps in Division II.

The winning teams were:

Division I 1st Place: Batesville Middle School
Division I 2nd Place – St. Louis School
Division I 3rd Place – Our Lady of Lourdes
Division II 1st Place – Ripley County Engineering Academy
Division II 2nd Place – Batesville High School
Division II 3rd Place – Oldenburg Academy

Anderson High School won the Creativity Award and Best Dressed Award, while Ripley County Engineering Academy took home the Most Rube Goldbergian Award.

“Every team impressed us with their creativity and positive energy,” reads a statement from Genesis: Pathways to Success.
