(Petersburg, Ky.) - This past Monday, July 6, a Petersburg woman was killed during an "act of compassion and duty for a stranger."

Ana Marie Kincart, 36, was driving to work at the Lawrenceburg VA clinic when she witnessed a car accident on the Carroll Cropper Bridge. Kincart was quick to stop to help a young man that had been involved in the accident. While waiting for authorities, Ana's SUV was hit by two separate vehicles, ultimately killing Kincart and the young man.

Kincart was described as a loving and selfless nurse who dedicated herself to help others working as a nurse for the past 12 years, including the several months during the coronavirus pandemic.

Following a private viewing, a memorial service will be held Saturday, July 11 at 4:00 p.m. at the Cline family farm, 13887 Redwine Lane, Dillsboro.

The family is requesting friends and family consider making a donation to the Fund for Nurse Ana Kincart's Children at https://www.gofundme.com/f/fund-for-nurse-ana-kincart-children.

Kincart is survived by her husband of 15 years, Donnie Kincart; daughters Abby Mattl, Clhoe Kincart, and Layla Kincart; son Tristan Kincart; mother Franny Cline and step-father Andy Cline; and her beloved siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and nieces.
