Ohio County Tourism Welcomes Angie’s Baker’y To Downtown Rising Sun

Welcome Angie's Baker-y to Rising Sun by stopping by to grab a coffee or some breakfast.

(Rising Sun, Ind.) - “Once upon a time, there was a girl who really wanted to open a bakery."

On Monday morning, Angie Baker got her fairy tale ending. Angie and her husband Dave Baker watched as this dream became a reality with customers knocking on the door of the new business, Angie’s Baker’y, before the 5:00 a.m. grand opening.

Board members and staff of the Ohio County Convention, Tourism and Visitors Commission gathered at Angie's Baker-y at 10:00 a.m. to present a brief “Welcome to the Neighborhood” ceremony and ribbon cutting.

Angie's story started when she was just a young girl. Her passion grew as she spent time in the kitchen with her great-grandma, Gigi, and mom.

Natural and minimally processed with simple ingredients is how Angie believes food should be. She 

Angie’s Baker’y will serve organic freshly ground coffee daily. Customers will be able to sit and enjoy a Cappuccino, Latte’ or Iced Coffee with the house special Crème’ Brulee’ coffee creamer.

Delectable delights like donuts, muffins, biscotti, scones, cookies, breads (sandwich, baguettes, banana nut etc.), New York Style Bagels, biscotti’s and more will be baked fresh daily for customers to enjoy. 

Additionally, the bakery will have breakfast sandwiches and biscuits with gravy. Some vegan and gluten free options will be available, depending on the needs of the community.

Specialty items that are not carried every day, like cupcakes, cookies and occasionally cakes, can be order. Special orders include large orders for anything that is carried daily.
