Over $380,000 in grants was given to support K-12 education programs and nonprofits.
(Milan, Ind.) - Yesterday, the Duke Energy Foundation announced that $382,000 in grants has been awarded to K-12 programs focused on summer reading programs, STEM and experiential learning across the Hoosier state.
One of the 25 grant recipients is Milan Community Schools. This local school corporation will receive $7,500 from the Duke Energy Foundation.
Given the current state of the country, the Foundation will allow each organization flexibility to reschedule programming.
“These extraordinary education organizations are essential to the well-being and success of our state in these difficult times,” said Stan Pinegar, Duke Energy state president for Indiana. “We are grateful for the work they do to serve our communities, and recognize that flexibility in applying these funds is needed during this time of uncertainty.”
