(Bright, Ind.) – A local nonprofit organization wants to send a party of four to experience a Cincinnati Reds game in the Boone County Press Club.

Splinters Ridge Strutters (SRS) raises funds through various fundraisers including their annual National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) Splinter Ridge Strutters Hunting Heritage Banquet and their annual Summer Fundraiser.

SRS purchases and donates frozen turkeys at Thanksgiving to local food pantries in Dearborn and Ohio counties through their Turkey Hunters Care Program (THCP). North Dearborn Pantry Inc. service area is portions of Jackson, Kelso, Logan, Harrison, Miller, and York townships that lie within Dearborn County, Indiana. From 2013 through 2023, SRS donated 2,213 Thanksgiving turkeys.

The organization also purchases and donates needed items to Dearborn County 4-H Shooting Sports. SRS also purchases and donates needed items to the National Archery in The Schools Program (NASP) at Bright Elementary School and holds pheasant hunts (includes youth) for the Dearborn County Women In The Outdoors (WITO).

This year’s SRS Summer Fundraiser is the “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” raffle. First Star Logistics had donated a Cincinnati Reds premium seating experience, which includes four seats at the First Star Logistics Table, two parking passes, premier vantage point behind home plate, first class dining and amenities, and top shelf fully stocked bar.

The package is valued at $1,200 and will be for the game versus the Washington Nationals on Saturday, August 5 at 4:10 p.m.

Raffle tickets are $20 each and are available at Bright Veterinarian Clinic, Dearborn County Veterinarian Clinic, Thunderbolt Firearms and Logan Supermart.

The winner will be drawn on Sunday, July 30.
