Lawrenceburg Native, WWII Hero Receives Tickets to Super Bowl LVIII

CINCINNATI - George E. Klopp Sr. is going to the Super Bowl. 

The Lawrenceburg native and World War II Veteran received tickets to the Big Game while attending the Cincinnati Bengals' regular season finale against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday afternoon. 

Klopp has been a Bengals season ticket holder for over 50 year. 

Super Bowl LVIII will be played on Sunday, February 11 in Las Vegas, Nevada. 

Klopp's military career began when he joined the U.S. Navy in June of 1944. He was only 18 when he was shipped overseas for a total of 22 months. Read more about his service time here. 

He was awarded with The World War II Victory Medal, The Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal, and The American Area Campaign Medal.
