Lawrenceburg Community Center COVID-19 Testing Site Extended Through July 5

This extension will allow for more Indiana residents to be tested.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Lawrenceburg Mayor Kelly Mollaun gave approval to the Indiana State Department of Health to extend the COVID-19 testing site at the Lawrenceburg Community Center through Sunday, July 5.

At last night's city council meeting, Mayor Mollaun announced that this extension will be the last one to allow for an opening of the Community Center to the public in the near future.

Councilman Justin Noppert reminded the community that as long as an Indiana ID is provided, a person will be granted testing. With the low numbers of people being tested, walk in's are welcomed; however, the process is much easier by calling to schedule an appointment.

The tests provided are for active cases of COVID-19, not the anti-bodies.

Testing will continue to be available from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Once testing moves out of the Community Center, it will take approximately a week to clean and sterilize the area to ensure safety. A tentative reopening date for the Lawrenceburg Community Center has been set for Monday, July 13.
