(WASHINGTON, DC) – It is a tremendous honor to present the wreath at the Tomb of the Unknowns.
On Saturday, Glen and Stacey Lainhart were at Arlington National Cemetery to honor their daughter, Kelsee with the ceremonial laying of the wreath. They were accompanied by Tom Savage and Ernie Johnson.
The ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknowns took place just a day after Kelsee’s 20th birthday.
Her parents came from Walter Reed Hospital, where Kelsee is continuing to recover from injuries sustained in the Kabul Airport suicide bombing in August.
The trip to Arlington was organized by PG Gentrup and sponsored by the City of Lawrenceburg. Southeastern Indiana Veterans were on their annual trip to DC and were proud to accompany the Lainhart family at the ceremony.
In total, there were 12 family members and friends who attended the ceremony.
