AUDIO: Ivy Tech Launches Career Coaching & Employer Connections Program

The CCEC program aims to help students achieve their career goals.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Getting a job straight out of college isn't always easy, but a new program at Ivy Tech Community College aims to help students achieve their career goals. 

Career coach Wendi Karle and employer consultant Lisa Moorhead joined Double T on Monday afternoon to announce the brand-new Career Coaching and Employer Connections program at Ivy Tech Lawrenceburg and Batesville.  

The program is designed to assist students with career development, career readiness and employer engagement. 

Through the program, Karle will work with students in a one-on-one capacity to assists with career exploration, resumes, cover letters, interview skills and eventually hiring events and workshops. 

Moorhead's role as employer consultant will include working with business and industry partners; connecting needs of employers to programs at Ivy Tech; working with the CCEC team to move students into work and learn and internship opportunities; and skilling up the existing workforce and current Ivy Tech students with Certificate and Degree opportunities in high wage and high demand areas. 

Others that will work with the CCEC team include an Experiences Specialist and Executive Director Ron Eads.
