Indiana Opens COVID-19 Vaccination Appointments To Hoosiers 16 & Up

To date, over 1.1 million Hoosiers have been fully vaccinated.

(Indianapolis, Ind.) – COVID-19 vaccination eligibility has expanded as expected in Indiana.

Today, the Indiana State Department of Health announced that COVID-19 vaccination appointments are now open to all Hoosiers ages 16 and older.

Anyone under the age of 18 must receive the Pfizer vaccine with parental or guardian consent.

Indiana has reported over 1.1 million fully vaccinated Hoosiers since the vaccines became available in December.

The fully vaccinated count for local counties is:

  • Dearborn County – 7,668
  • Ripley County – 4,927
  • Franklin County – 2,361
  • Ohio County – 1,510
  • Switzerland County – 1,122
