Full House Resorts Terminates 407 Rising Star Casino Employees

The terminations were effective March 31.

(Rising Sun, Ind.) - Over 400 employees of Rising Star Casino are out of a job. 

Due to COVID-19 concerns, the Indiana Gaming Commission shut down operations at all 13 casinos throughout the state. 

Approximately two weeks later, Full House Resorts, the owner of Rising Star Casino, sent out a notice on March 27 stating that 407 Rising Star employees will be terminated effective March 31. 

Among those who lost their jobs include gaming operations and related amenities and services at Rising Star, including but not limited to hotel, food and beverage, golf, and RV park.

Thirty-six essential team employees will continue working on operations until Rising Star may reopen.

The Corporate Director of Human Resources, who did not sign their name to the notice, left the following statement regarding future employment:

"No bumping rights exist for employees. However, employees are being advised that should Rising Star Casino reopen in the near future, we anticipate we will have positions for which most of our current employees may apply.
