(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Blind Bourbon Live presented by podcaster and best-selling author Fred Minnick is coming to the Hollywood Casino on Saturday, February 17. Seats are limited and tickets are on sale now at hollywoodindiana.com.

This isn't some run-of-the-mill watering hole tasting. There will be blind folds and bourbon so good that you'd stand in line to buy it.

After you've received professional sensory training and learned about bourbon's history, you will be sanctioned as an official taster of the American Spirits Council of Tasters and will judge an exhibition tasting where the winner receives an automatic bid into Fred's Top 100 at the end of the year.

You will analyze the bourbon in a blind flight and choose your favorite. The crowd will vote and can guess what they are tasting. What are the bourbons for this event? You’ll have to taste to find out, but here's a hint: Everything tasted will have been distilled in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, home to the Hollywood Casino and one of the most important distilleries in the United States, Ross & Squibb, aka MGP.

For those looking to take their experience up even another notch, the VIP Session will be a mingle and educational session with Fred and the distillers of Ross & Squibb, aka MGP in Lawrenceburg. In the VIP tasting: Every Remus Repeal; Every Blood Oath; Remus Gatsby 2023, and a handful of TBD vintage releases distilled in Lawrenceburg and more.

Since returning home from Iraq as a soldier in 2005, Wall Street Journal bestselling author Minnick shifted his passion for writing into bourbon, becoming a leading media personality for all things whiskey. With appearances on Top Chef, Today Show, Moonshiners, Good Morning America, CBS This Morning, Pawn Stars, Food That Built America and more, Minnick has written seven books, including the award winning Whiskey Women, Bourbon Curious, and Bourbon: The Rise, Fall & Rebirth of An American Whiskey, which won the Spirited Award for Best Spirits Book.

He has written about spirits for Forbes, New York Times, Scientific American, Parade Magazine and multiple appearances on CBS This Morning, NPR and CNBC. Minnick is a co-founder to Bourbon & Beyond, Bourbon+ Magazine, American Spirits Council of Tasters and is an advisor to the Spirits Network. He's the host of The Fred Minnick Show and co-host of Bourbon Pursuit, while also leading private corporate tastings for the likes of Amazon, Google and Visa. Fred is also one of the last people on earth wearing ascots for some reason.
