(Aurora, Ind.) - Local hero and United State Air Force veteran will be remembered as a beloved community member and service man.
Donald Ray Bowling passed away Tuesday, March 10 at the age of 82 years old.
For 50 years, Donald lived in Aurora working for the Aurora Fire Department from 1964-1975, serving as Chief from 1972-1975.
Since 2017, Donald has been a resident of the town of Dillsboro.
Friends will be received Tuesday, March 17, from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church, with the Mass of Christian Burial directly following at 12:00 PM.
The Aurora Fire Department will be honoring Donald with services at the Rising Sun New Cemetery.
Military graveside services will be conducted by members of local Veterans Service Organizations.
