(Aurora, Ind.) - A father and son are accused of helping two 16-year-old girls from Aurora run away from their homes.

Ronald M. Ball, 38, of Aurora, and his son, Kaleb J.K. Ball, 19, of Dillsboro, are each charged with Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor (class A misdemeanor) in Dearborn County.

After being reported missing by their mothers a day earlier, the teens were located by Aurora Police at a laundromat in the city on September 23. The two runaways told officers that they ran away with Kaleb Ball.

One of the mothers told officers she had contacted Kaleb about her daughter’s whereabouts, but Ball allegedly refused to share their location.

A girl claimed Kaleb’s father, Ronald, knew she had run away from home and assisted in hiding her out.

Both Ronald and Kaleb Ball are now in jail at the Dearborn County Law Enforcement Center on $1,000 cash bonds. Dearborn Superior Court II Judge Sally McLaughlin said the men pose a risk to community safety.

A pretrial hearing has been scheduled for November 20.
