Failure To Yield Caused Lawrenceburg Crash

Two vehicles collided on U.S. 50 at Tanners Creek Drive on Thursday night.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – A vehicle rolled onto its top after a Thursday evening collision at the intersection of U.S. 50 and Tanners Creek Drive.

The wreck happened just before 9:30 p.m. Lawrenceburg Police Chief Donnie Combs says a driver was travelling westbound on U.S. 50 when he attempted to turn left onto Tanners Creek Drive.

The driver turned into the path of an eastbound vehicle, leading to the crash. The impact sent the first vehicle spinning and it rolled onto its top.

Combs says the driver of the left turn-making vehicle told officers that the traffic signal had a green light, but not a green left turn arrow.

Both drivers were checked out and released at the scene.
