(Osgood, Ind.) – A mini park in Osgood is being revitalized.

Iron Timbers, who specializes in custom wood and metalworks, is currently working on a project to update the Lions Club Park on Main Street in Osgood.

Plans include revamping the entire park with brand new landscaping and a large 40-foot interactive sculpture of the word “Osgood”.

The funds for the sculpture materials and landscaping have officially been raised thanks to the Reynolds Foundation.

Other additions to the park include a mural on the nearby Taylor’s Tae Kwon Do building.

The landscaping is scheduled to begin sometime in mid-June and should take about four or five weeks to complete. The sculpture is expected to be completed by mid-September.

According to Iron Timbers, they estimate a need to raise an additional $50,000 for work associated with the mural.

To raise funds, there will be more than 2,300-square-feet of new red brick at the park. For each $100 donation, community members may get their name engraved on a brick.

The deadline for brick donations is June 30.

Community members may also donate to a GoFundMe page. To date, $2,625 of the $50,000 goal has been raised.
