Employee Accused Of Stealing Merchandise From Brookville Store

Police say approximately $1,200 worth of merchandise was taken.

(Brookville, Ind.) – A Brookville woman is accused of stealing from her place of employment.

Brookville Police were dispatched to the Family Dollar on Main Street in the early afternoon hours of May 31.

Police say Alaina Marie Laird stole approximately $1,200 worth of merchandise. She was taken into custody and charged with Theft (level 6 felony).

If convicted, Laird could face up to 2 ½ years in prison and up to $10,000 in fines.
