The Reds will play a double-header today.
CINCINNATI - The Cincinnati Reds will put their five-game winning streak on the line today at home against the St. Louis Cardinals.
Tuesday's game was postponed due to inclement weather, making today a joint double-header with game one being played at 12:40 p.m.
Dearborn County Sheriff Shane McHenry is scheduled to be recognized as the First Responder of the Game for the regularly scheduled Wednesday game which now starts at 6:40.
"I'm extremely grateful to be recognized as the First Responder of the Game by the Cincinnati Reds. I have been blessed to serve our community since coming home in 2000 from Indiana University. I appreciate the support I've received over my law enforcement career and am proud to serve as your Sheriff," said McHenry.
McHenry, a lifelong Dearborn County resident, has served as Dearborn County Sheriff since being 2018.
He was hired by the Dearborn County Sheriff’s Office in March of 2001 as a Deputy. During his 20-plus year career, McHenry has served in various capacities with the Sheriff’s Office, including 13 years assigned to the Special Crimes Unit.
In his spare time, McHenry and his family operate the Lawrenceburg Speedway.
