Dearborn Co. Sheriff's Office Warns of New Scam

Stay safe and protect yourself.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - The Dearborn County Sheriff's Office shared in a Facebook post this week that scammers may be using the Dearborn County Sheriff's Office app to contact family members of inmates.

By using the inmate search feature, scammers are falsely claiming they can help release loved ones for a fee.

The Dearborn County Sheriff's Office reminds citizens to never send money or share personal information, and verify any claims with official sources.
