By Dearborn County Recorder Joyce Oles, news release

There are resources available to get things done while government buildings are limiting access.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Our Dearborn County Government has recently adopted the policy urging citizens ‘to refrain from visiting the facility unless you have immediate business that cannot wait until this pandemic from COVID-19 is under control’.

Performing title searches for the purpose of buying and selling real estate, securing mortgages, and recording documents are definitely considered immediate business.

Please understand that the County’s policy is subject to change, and you will be notified as soon as possible.

For any other business, please consider putting those projects on hold for the time being.

Your health and safety is our top priority! Of course, helping to keep our economy strong is another priority we have, so our office wants to accommodate you as much as we can.

Please make note of the following resources you have available to you:

Visit DOXPOP at www.doxpop.com for securing a copy or reviewing recorded documents from the year 2000 forward.

Visit www.beacon.schneidercorp.com for GIS maps and property information.

Contact Simplifile.com to record certain documents on-line.

If you require any assistance please feel free to contact our office at (812) 537-8837 or email: joles@dearborncounty.in.gov.

We are a strong and compassionate community. I know we will continue to take good care of each other!
