UPDATE: Hamilton County Emergency Management is saying to IMMEDIATELY EVACUATE and leave area (within half mile) of US-50 and OH-128 in any direction due to chemical leak.
Officials say the leak was a chemical known as styrene. Those exposed to the chemical may experience tiredness, slowed reaction times, and concentration problems.
A shelter has been opened for the public at Whitewater Township Community Center at 6125 Dry Fork Rd.

Elementary bus departure will be approximately 3:30 (please continue to check app). High school has been dismissed.
All after school activities are canceled.

(Hamilton County, Oh.) – A dangerous chemical leak has been reported near State Route 128.
Hamilton County Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency is advising residents in the area to immediately go indoors and stay inside until further notice.
Residents should close and seal off doors and windows, close fireplace dampers, and turn off heat.
The accident took place in the area of U.S. 50 and State Route 128.
Local first responders are on the scene.
