(Brookville, Ind.) – Brookville is the place to be for anglers looking for trout.
The Indiana DNR announced Tuesday that 5,228 rainbow trout have been stocked in five different lakes and streams across the state.
Brookville Reservoir Tailwater is among the five stocking locations, receiving 1,000 fish from Curtis Creek Trout Rearing Station.
The stocked surplus trout are greater than seven inches on average.
Anglers age 18 and older need an Indiana fishing license and a trout/salmon stamp to fish for trout.
The bag limit for trout in inland waters is five fish per day with a minimum size limit of seven inches. There is no closed season for taking trout from inland lakes.
