(Boone County, Ky.) – A Cincinnati man has been found guilty of double murder.
On Wednesday, a Boone County jury convicted Joshua Ward for the murders of Kelli Kramer and her nine-year-old son, Aiden.
Both victims were shot to death around March 20, 2018.
Investigators said Ward was involved in an intimate relationship with Kramer prior to their relationship abruptly ending.
The jury recommended a sentence of life without the possibility of parole on both counts.
A sentencing date has not been announced.
“The verdict was the culmination of a tireless investigation conducted by the Boone County Sheriff's Department lead by Detectives Jason Keipert (retired) and Chris Hull along with contributions from numerous other members of the department and other agencies including the FBI and ATF. On behalf of the Commonwealth, I would like to extend my thanks to all who contributed to this result. I would also like to recognize the family of Kelli and Aiden who have navigated this tragedy with grace and dignity,” said Louis Kelly, Commonwealth’s Attorney – 54th Judicial District.
