UPDATE: Body Found in Ohio River Near Aurora Identified

Dearborn County Coroner Cameron McCreary in conjunction with the Hamilton County Coroner's Office have positively identified the body of a man who washed upon the riverbank in Aurora on Sunday as Michael Gambrel of Covington, Kentucky.

No foul play is suspected.

(Aurora, Ind.) – A dead body was located near Aurora on Sunday evening.

According to a news release from Prosecuting Attorney Lynn Deddens, the body was located along Ohio River around 7:20 p.m.

An autopsy was performed today at the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office. No foul play is suspected.

Aurora Police are working with other law enforcement agencies to determine the identity of the adult male.

No further information has been provided at this time.
