(Greendale, Ind.) - An Aurora couple is facing a laundry list of drug charges after trying to sell drugs to a 15-year-old.

Charges were filed against Kodi D. Hiltenbeitel, 21, and Taylor M. Mallotte, 18, in Dearborn Circuit Court on January 17.

The charges stem from an incident on January 16 when Hiltenbeitel allegedly used Snapchat to try and sell marijuana and LSD to a 15-year-old. A concerned citizen alerted police of the social media posts.

In one message, a username "kodii_86" asked the child, "u need bud or cid bout to make a drop through gdale." According to a probable cause affidavit, Kodi agreed to sell an ounce of marijuana and 10 units of LSD for $275.

Later that evening, Hiltenbeitel and Mallotte were located and taken into custody at the Rand Avenue bathrooms.

Police say they located a large bag in plain site on the passenger seat of their vehicle. The bag allegedly contained three bags containing marijuana, one of which weighed approximately 30 grams. The other two bags weighed four grams and two grams, respectively.

A piece of foil containing LSD, a Schedule I Controlled Substance, was allegedly located underneath the bags of marijuana.

Police say they also located a Taurus 9 mm handgun that Hiltenbeitel didn't have a permit for and a burnt, hand-rolled marijuana cigarette inside the vehicle.

After taking Hiltenbeitel and Mallotte into custody, police executed a search warrant at their Aspen Ridge apartment in Aurora.

Inside the apartment, police allegedly found 52 grams of marijuana, two grams of Hash Oil, plastic baggies, plant grinders, smoking pipes, digital scale and other drug paraphernalia.

Hiltenbeitel and Mallotte are charged with Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Substance With Intent To Deliver Under One Gram With an Enhancing Circumstance (Level 5 Felony); Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Deliver to a Minor (Level 5 Felony); Maintaining a Common Nuisance (Level 6 Felony); two counts of Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Substance (Class A Misdemeanor); Possession of Marijuana (Class B Misdemeanor); Possession of Hashish/Hash Oil (Class B Misdemeanor); and Possession of Paraphernalia (Class C Misdemeanor).

Both are currently held in the Dearborn County Law Enforcement Center on $75,000 surety bond.
