(Aurora, Ind.) – If you know a fourth grade student at Aurora Elementary School, there’s a good chance you’ve seen them reading a book.
The students are “Epic” readers. They have been entered this school year in a reading contest on Epic, and online digital library for kids.
Teacher Dan Rogers says AES fourth graders placed second in the nation in the contest. They read a
“They worked very hard and read a grand total of 8,017 books!” says Rogers, who teaches fourth grade along with Janet Hart, Sarah Caudill and Ivy Schmeltzer.
Epic is awarding the classes with a $100 gift card for a class party, as well as swag packs and free Epic subscriptions.
“AES and the fourth grade teachers couldn't be prouder of the students,” Rogers says.
