(Indianapolis, Ind.) - The deadline for the Preserving Women's Legacy Grants has been extended.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, applications for these grants will now be accepted until Monday, June 15.
These Preserving Women's Legacy Grants aims to support historic preservation work, public art and other projects that commemorate Indiana women’s history and promote visits to Main Street communities.
Honoring these projects will create a lasting legacy of Indiana's commemoration of the 100th anniversary of women winning the right to vote.
Indiana Women's Suffrage Centennial grants will provide matching funds to selected community applicants from $15,000 to $40,000.
Main Street communities can apply for these grants at the Indiana Women’s Suffrage Centennial website.
While projects should be tied to women’s history in Indiana, they do not need to be related to women’s suffrage.
