(New Point, Ind.) - Indiana Department of Transportation crews plan to install an all-way stop as well as a reduced speed limit on State Road 46 on or after Tuesday, May 6, in New Point.

Crews will install the all-way stop at the intersection of S.R. 46 and County Road 850 East. INDOT encourages drivers to approach the intersection with caution as motorists become familiar with the all-way stop.

The speed limit will be reduced from 55 mph to 45 mph on S.R. 46 from County Road 700 East to County Road 200 South. The reduced speed limit is intended to improve safety along S.R. 46 in New Point.

INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
