(Vevay, Ind.) - Matthew Young stands alone as the top rusher in Switzerland County High School football history.

Young rushed for 107 yards on only three carries in a 48-6 win over Edinburgh last Friday.

In doing so, he passed Jonny Thompson (1,743 yards) as the Pacers all-time career rushing leader with 1,806 yards. He also made his presence felt on defense, snagging an interception and returning it for another score in the opening quarter and triggering a running clock the rest of the game.

Young and the Pacers will look to improve their 5-1 record this Friday when they travel to South Decatur. The Pacers have a chance to set a new record for most wins in a single season with three games to play.

The most wins Switzerland County has had in a season is six, which they have accomplished each of the last two seasons.
