Switz. Co's Duvall, JCD's Simon Named ORVC Basketball Players Of The Week

(Vevay, Ind.) – Basketball stars from Switzerland County and Jac-Cen-Del have earned weekly honors from the Ohio River Valley Conference.

The ORVC report for November 22-27 was released on Tuesday.

Switzerland County’s Maddie Duvall was named the ORVC Girls Basketball Player of the Week.

The Lady Pacers star put up 18 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists in a 50-45 win over North Decatur, helping Switzerland County improve to 5-1 on the season.

Duval is currently second in the conference in scoring at 12.7 PPG. Her sister, Jessie, leads the ORVC in scoring at 13.8 PPG.

The first ORVC Boys Basketball Player of the Week for the 2021-22 season went to Jac-Cen-Del’s Caleb Simon.

Through two games, Simon is averaging 22 points, 10.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.5 steals per game.
