(Aurora, Ind.) – A South Dearborn High School football star is going D-1.

Senior running back Dalton Guthrie signed his letter of intent on Wednesday to continue his academic and athletic career at Valparaiso University, a D-1 FCS school.

For his career, Guthrie totaled 2,259 rushing yards and 33 touchdowns. He also showed the capability to catch the ball out of the backfield with 45 career receptions, 448 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
